Position: Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist

Salary: $58K-$63K

Position Type: Full Time

Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist at Senior Helpers will play a pivotal role in managing the billing operations of the company. Responsibilities encompass a spectrum of financial tasks aimed at meticulously recording and reporting our financial transactions. Dedication to maintaining accurate records, conducting insightful financial analysis, and upholding the highest standards of accounting principles will be instrumental. This position reports to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage billing and billing processes
  • Maintain customer maintenance data in the system
  • Perform invoicing, set up ACH, payment processing, posting, reconciling, and collections.
  • Investigate and resolve any billing or payment discrepancies or disputes
  • Communicate with Franchisees on outstanding AR issues
  • Provide reporting as needed including gross sales reporting, review aging reports
  • Record and maintain accurate entries in the general ledger for revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide financial data and analysis to assist in decision-making.
  • Assist with tax preparation, including the calculation and filing of sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax returns.
  • Provide support during financial audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests.
  • Assist in implementing audit recommendations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepare variance analysis reports to explain budget-to-actual differences.
  • Maintain organized and secure records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide financial support as needed.
  • Communicate financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Possess either a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or demonstrate 2-4 years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP or IFRS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
