Job description

Primary DutiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.Ensures all new hires receive necessary onboarding documents, completes form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.Ensures that all new hire onboarding processes are completed prior to first day of employee s hire date.Conducts New Hire Orientation for newly hired employees.Performs clerical functions to include but not limited to, photocopies, scans and emails of documents, processing outgoing mailings, ordering office supplies.Prepares and maintains new employee personnel files. Accurately retires records of former employees.Additional ResponsibilitiesResearches and responds to requests for reference, and verifications of employment, etc. in a timely manner. Participates in HR compliance and HRIS data audits as required.Collects and processes requests for benefit programs including but not limited to, tuition assistance, leave donation programs, etc.Performs customer service functions by answering employees questions and requests.Assists with new employee background checks. Submits online request form to background check vendor(s).Assists Training department with communicating, tracking, and scheduling employees to complete required training.Ensures proper filing of documentation into appropriate employee files.Participates in HR compliance audits as requested. Assists with the out-processing of terminated employees.Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates and HRIS and respond with follow-up as required.Perform other responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)An Associate degree in Human Resources or related field required. Bachelor s degree preferred.At least three years related experience required.PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred and recommended.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures; understanding an application of basic employment laws.Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively within a team.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software.Requires ability to learn and become proficient in the operating HRIS.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
