Job Description:
GDIT is a leading cybersecurity solutions provider to the federal government. We have an immediate need for a Commercial Solutions for Classified systems (CSfC) VMWare, Active Directory, and Unified Computing System Administrator to support our Department of State customer. This position will provide technical expertise as part of a team of highly skilled administrators to ensure continued operation of critical services for this CSfC system.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and overall support for multiple virtual machines and systems
Setup, install, configure, and triage new virtual machines deployments
Maintain and restore VM backups and snapshots
Detects, isolates, documents, reports, and resolves system outages or problems encountered during operations of the operational baseline, which includes collecting diagnostic data, restore the system operation, developing workarounds, and other activities necessary for the recovery of a system
Performs system monitoring, analyzing, documenting performance, and conducting trend analysis as required
Implement and configure Active Directory
Implement and configure Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)
Required Qualifications:
Building and maintaining Window Client Gold Image/Horizon Client Image
Proven experience on back up and administration of storage system such as Unity and Pure Storage
Mid-to senior level experience on VMware vSphere, vCenter and ESXi
Ability to research independent to resolve technical issue or develop new solution
Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree (Bachelor s Degree or higher strongly preferred) and minimum of 5 years of experience working with server/application virtualization on an enterprise level
Experience working within the parameters detailed via DISA STIGs, Department of State Security Configuration Guides or other federal hardening guidelines.
Strict attention to detail; adherence to rigid guidelines and processes; Ability to validate, update and maintain accurate records.
Proven experience on design and implementation of VMware VDI solution
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Experience building Windows 10 Gold image/Horizon
Experience with application sequencing
Minimum of active interim Secret clearance and ability to obtain up to a TS.
Desired Qualifications:
Solid understanding of firewall rule structure, network protocols, and associated vulnerabilities
Solid understanding of Active Directory and Windows Servers on an enterprise level
Demonstrated understanding of VMware Virtual Cloud Foundation
Familiarity with Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) implementation and configuration
U.S. Department of State experience
Experience designing, implementing, and managing VMware based virtual environments
Preferred Certifications:
The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
