Job Description:


Our client has an immediate opening in their McLean, VA office for an associate with 3+ years' experience in Workers Compensation and Employers Liability. This position focuses on representing employers, restaurants, and other retail establishments, in the defense of workers compensation and liability claims in state and federal courts, and administrative tribunals. Including defense of product manufacturers in toxic tort claims, corporations and privately held companies in premises liability and general commercial liability disputes, as well as insured entities and their employees in motor vehicle-related property and bodily injury claims and lien disputes.



Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Candidates should possess strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing and communication skills and have the ability to work independently.
  • Candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Experience with Worker's Compensation and employers' liability a plus.



Responsibilities:

  • The position requires the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and handle a high volume of cases.
  • Research complicated legal issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and all other documents in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with other attorneys and support staff.
  • Handle court appearances, client meetings, and depositions.
  • Communicate with clients regularly.
