Job description

We re now hiring for a Field Service Associate at Flex Biomedical LLC in Delaware, OH.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an awesome company and supportive team. Flex Biomedical LLC is based in Central Ohio and serves as a Biomedical Equipment Technician service to hospitals and health care facilities. Our role to our customers is to aid in the lifecycle management of medical equipment including documentation, installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and final disposition.

Typical day in the life as a Field Service Associate:

  • Evaluate and implement appropriate repairs to biomedical equipment as assigned, perform preventive maintenance (PM), safety inspections and installations as required.
  • Follow appropriate policies, procedures, hospital protocol and complete necessary documentation.
  • Maintain daily communications with customers, to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
  • May assist more and less experienced technicians on basic and complex repairs respectively.
  • Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area.
  • Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule.
  • Ensure proper care of parts, tools and test equipment and assure calibration.
  • Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding the safe and effective use of medical equipment through formal instruction.
  • Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Travel out of town possibly once per month for multi-day installation projects.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of three to five years of experience performing troubleshooting and planned maintenance on biomedical, electronic, or mechanical equipment following current standards, code, and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of those devices.
  • Previous hospital or medical experience preferred.
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Information Technology experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience interpreting schematic diagrams and perform effective repair and planned maintenance on basic biomedical or electronic equipment.
  • Reliable Transportation with valid drivers license and clean driving record
