Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer

Terms: Full Time

Location: Baltimore, MD - hybrid

Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Our client is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to join their high-performing tech team in Baltimore, MD. The role is currently remote.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Support Linux, and Windows data exchange scripts to push and pull files via Internet and Platform servers.
  • Provide system assessment and configure system authorization for bidirectional SFTP Internet and MFT Platform server file transfers over site-to-site VPN.
  • Perform system engineering and operations by testing to ensure security measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access and/or transfers to and from the system.
  • Perform full system life cycle testing on projects supporting migration from on-premises hosts services to cloud hosts services.
  • Should provide Infrastructure Technical Support, research system failures, escalate issues as necessary and work on fixing the issues

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor s degree, 10 years or more experience
  • Experience with Data Exchange products; specifically, Managed File Transfer (MFT) Platform Server (for Windows and Linux), Internet Server, and Command Center
  • Experience with z/OS mainframe would be a plus
  • Experience with scheduling software on z/OS such as Control-M
