Position Title: Brand Manager
Reports To: Director of Sales and Marketing
POSITION DESCRIPTION
New Waterloo is an independent hospitality development + management company based in Austin, Texas. We make places that create positive impact within the communities in which we live, work, play, and call home. Reporting to the hotel s Director of Sales; the Brand Manager will be accountable for creating + executing impactful marketing initiatives that drive brand and revenue to New Waterloo properties. This role requires a brand publisher mindset: you ll create the content our audience is looking for, that aligns with marketing & revenue goals, then optimize the path to conversion. As a Brand Manager, you will be responsible for strategizing, planning, scheduling, communicating, and delivering marketing + programming initiatives that are on-brand, on-time, and on-budget.
Of equal importance to the creative side of this role is the analytical. The Brand Manager is responsible for ensuring brand assets are updated and optimized across digital channels; tracking key performance metrics; and adjusting + communicating strategy based on those metrics. The ideal candidate is able to confidently communicate marketing & brand expertise based on changing needs, trends, & goals.
WHAT YOU LL DO
Project manage marketing initiatives that drive brand, traffic, engagement, and deliver revenue.
Develop campaign content and promotional roadmaps that are on-brand; consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice; and optimized for their respective channels.
Draft campaign toolkits with brand-aligned copy & imagery, then distribute toolkits to all digital platforms, internal teams, and PR team for promotion
Shoot and edit photo and video content, and coordinate third-party photographers, including creating shot lists, sourcing props/styling, defining creative direction and invoicing
Manage social media platforms for Hotel Revival and related outlets, including creating organic content, community management, saving user-generated content, and working with New Waterloo s Director of Digital Marketing to create ad content
Maintain all marketing digital platforms, including brand.com websites, guest-facing messaging platforms, third-party review sites, social, and internal fact sheets
Coordinate media opportunities with PR team, including attending regular meetings to define initiatives, sharing or drafting requested media assets, creating media reservations, serving as media liaison for property for interviews, shoots and segments, tracking spend and reporting metrics, and sharing press hits with property team
Submit creative requests to graphic designers for assets necessary to campaign roll-out or initiative support
Serve as marketing project manager for campaigns and initiatives by keeping marketing tracker up to date, creating agendas and running monthly campaign calendar meetings, assigning tasks and due dates to collaborators and stakeholders, tracking budget and recap notes, and sharing results
Field and fulfill general marketing inquiries
Contribute to weekly and monthly reports, in collaboration with property leaders and NW Marketing
Support programming & sales initiatives by drafting promotional copy, executing on promotional aspects of event, and providing occasional onsite event coverage / content capture when deemed necessary by GM and DOS.
Work with cross-functional, multi-project team resources to ensure marketing solutions are delivered on time and on budget according to defined scope, timeline, and cost expectations
Plan, schedule, communicate, and control all project activities toward these objectives, applying creative, technical, and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements while building positive professional relationships with stakeholders
Effectively manage and optimize all third-party contract agencies and all incoming promotional requests from property teams and other stakeholders
Measurement and optimization of campaigns will be required on a regular and ongoing basis

You have a strong work ethic and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team.
You have an intuitive sense of how to manage the back-end of most digital platforms.
A plus: You have previous experience working in hospitality, restaurants or hotels.
A plus: You enjoy capturing video and image content
A plus: You are fluent in Adobe creative suite.
