We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and guide our strategic financial decisions. This is a permanent position in our fast-paced and growing construction company. The CFO will play a key role in the company's overall development, strategic decision-making, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting to the highest level of the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement financial strategies and systems that align with the company's objectives.
2. Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company, including the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements, and reporting to company executives and the board of directors.
3. Utilize forecasting to anticipate financial trends and future business needs, and prepare the company for growth and investment opportunities.
4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
5. Lead and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process, including the evaluation of budgetary performance.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
7. Implement and maintain internal control systems to ensure the protection of company assets and the accuracy and reliability of its records and financial reports.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
3. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the construction industry.
4. Proven experience in financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
5. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
6. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
7. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
8. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
9. Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
10. High-level financial reporting skills, including the ability to forecast financial trends and assess risk.

The CFO will be a seasoned and mature leader with at least 5-8 years of broad finance experience, ideally beginning in audit, followed by experience gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership. The CFO will have experience managing the finance function (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) within a diverse, division-based entity.
