Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for resourcing, recruiting, screening and recommending qualified physician candidates to OhioHealth System practices. The main focus is to identify and complete primary care and specialty physician searches at OhioHealth hospitals and affiliated practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Field of Study: related field.

Years of experience: 8 to 12

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Proven written and verbal excellence. Basic computer skills in a windows capacity. 5 8 yrs. in health care sales, medical group practice management or customer service

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, sales or Communications. Completion of sales training and human resources recruitment. Knowledge of rural hospitals and physicians. 8-12 years physician recruitment experience especially in multihospital systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

10%

Manages all the recruitment needs of Grant/Riverside residents and fellows. Retains as many of the residents/fellows as opportunities allow. Prepares written reports as requested on residents and their search status.

Develops and maintains relationships with the leaders in medical education to promote the retention of residents.

Develops and maintains candidate and opportunity record in electronic source selected by physician recruitment department. Assists Physician Recruiting Coordinator in maintaining a complete and accurate record of each candidates. Assists the coordinator in gathering the information needed.

Checks references and background information prior to interview. Ensures quality candidates are selected to interview. Reviews contracts for accuracy.

Recruits physicians to fill primary and specialty care opportunities if needs are not met by system resident/fellows. Recruits candidates to fill complex physician positions. Typically will have 10 1 5 open opportunities. Cost savings: eliminates search firms. Revenue producing: Generates $1,500,000 in revenue pre-primary care and specialty recruited.

Hosts interview days and monitors interview days of Junior Recruiter. Ensures feedback is gathered to assist the practice in selecting the most qualified candidate.

Acts as liaison for new physicians credentialing with Medical Specialty Foundation, Office of the General Counsel, Marketing, OhioHealth Group, Medical Group of Ohio MG o , and system hospital medical staff offices. Assists in gathering information needed to facilitate the credentialing and onboarding of new physicians joining our system.

Assists the Director in developing policies, strategies, and procedures of physician recruitment. Evaluates effectiveness of strategies and makes adjustments based on data and market changes.

Attends meetings for the Director when unavailable e. g. , Administrative Committee, MSF campus meetings, Acquisition meetings, contract discussions, APEX meetings, etc.

coordinates with hospital system CEOs, business development, and physicians to determine needs, gather information, compile search specifications. Communicates status of search in a way that meets the needs of the practice and hospital campus. Reports status of each search at department meetings.

Maintains a working knowledge of healthcare and recruiting issues to stay informed of current industry standards. Supports team goals within the department and assists individual department members in achievement of goals as necessary.

This position serves as a resource for other associates. Communicate instructions, do minor scheduling, and inspect work. Assist with performance reviews.
