DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Department of Human Services (DHS) in Selinsgrove is seeking a consistently enthusiastic and personable individual who works with various leadership styles and remains highly motivated and organized. As a fiscal assistant, your responsibilities will include overseeing tasks such as managing petty cash, recording payment details, handling special fund cash counts, and preparing bank deposits. Your exceptional organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple schedules, and proactive approach are needed in coordinating calendars and managing communication. Moreover, you will be responsible for gathering the necessary information for credit card audits and overseeing the addition and removal of staff from the timekeeping system. Collaborating closely with Program Services, Health Services, and Staff Development to uphold the Kronos system for managing personnel will be another key aspect of your role. Your expertise and collaborative spirit will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the team.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

+ Full-time employment

+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

+ You may be required to work overtime as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

+ Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or

+ An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits in accounting; or

+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

+ Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
