Job Profile

The Human Resources Administrator assists with and facilitates processes throughout all areas of the Human Resources department with an emphasis on administering benefits, managing data and employee records, and playing an active role in ensuring all human resource functions are complying with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. This position is a hybrid work arrangement with two days per week spent working in our offices in Sterling, Virginia. This position reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Administer HR operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Maintain and utilize Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Administer health, welfare, and retirement employee benefits program including processing enrollments and addressing employee questions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and also industry regulations
  • Build collaborative relationships and be viewed as an effective resource within HR and across the company
  • Maintain accurate record keeping, employee files, and employment-related documentation and data
  • Reconcile benefit statements and invoices
  • Assist with employee onboarding and termination processes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Ability to work in our Sterling, Virginia, offices 2 days per week
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. A Master's degree in HR or a related field can be an advantage
  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations or benefits management with a proven track record in both areas
  • Strong background in HR compliance and a deep understanding of federal and state laws related to benefits and HR processes required
  • SHRM credentials highly desirable
