UPMC has the perfect position for you UPMC's Rodney Road Primary Care in York, PA is looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse to their office. This is a large office, with 22 exam rooms and 8 providers, that will keep you moving and get to use your skills. The office culture is very warm and welcoming, a team first environment, with patient centered providers. HOURS: Monday-Friday dayshift. Various shifts during office hours: Monday 8am-9pm, Tuesday 7am-9pm, Wednesday 7am-9pm, Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 7am-5pm. NO WEEKENDS. NO MAJOR HOLIDAYS. NO ON-CALL Purpose: Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers. Responsibilities: Room patients, assess patient's general condition, take vital signs and weight. Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments. Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions. Draw blood. Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip. Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). Comply with all policies and procedures. Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse. Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. One-year clinical experience preferred, but not required. New LPN graduates welcome to apply Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component _within 30 days of hire_ Clearances must be dated within 90 days Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
