Bilingual Lead Clinician

Job description

Location: Catonsville, MD - onsite role Monday-Friday 8a-5:30p; On-call as needed


The Lead Clinician will be responsible for supporting and ensuring the comprehensive service delivery of clinical services. The Lead Clinician will offer consultation and trauma-informed expertise to program staff to promote stable foster placements and provide clinical feedback. In collaboration with the case management team, these services will be provided on a short-term basis and will require extensive knowledge of the policies of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise 3 direct reports - Clinical Case Managers and interns
  • Support the Head of the Program as a secondary supervisor as needed.
  • Provide individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention services to unaccompanied children in the Transitional Foster Care setting through the ORR program.
  • Provide clinical insight into children s behavior on a multidisciplinary team.
  • Work with outside stakeholders to ensure the safe and timely release of children to sponsors.
  • Will facilitate individual and group therapy; recreation therapy, art therapy, family therapy


Required Qualifications:

  • Master s degree in social work and two (2) years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience
  • Licensure to provide clinical services in Maryland; LMSW-C preferred
  • Experience providing therapy to kids is more important than experience with the immigrant population.


Background Screening Requirements:

  • Obtain a negative TB Test yearly.
  • Willing and able to obtain FBI fingerprint check every 5 years.
  • Must have valid driver s license and MVA check free of major infractions for the last 7 years.
  • Ability to travel to home visits and other service agencies to serve the client, either by own vehicle or by public transportation (train, plane, etc.).
  • Availability of a vehicle that meets safety and mechanical requirements for travel within an assigned radius.
  • Willing and able to clear a criminal background check for the past 7 years.



Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $70,000-$80,000/year - $5K sign-on bonus (1x payment)
