Washington, DC Area


Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000/year

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • The Associate, Green Seal Operations & Administration role is a key role at Green Seal. This role reports to the VP of Certification and provides additional support to multiple departments across Green Seal. We are looking for someone with an interest in the environment and sustainability to assist the Certification department and Green Seal more broadly in a wide variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor s degree and 1-5 years experience in testing, inspection, certification administration, data management, client interaction, customer service, efficiency, planning, and project management. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Certification Process Support

  • Work with certification reviewers and the VP of Certification to continuously review and analyze the certification process and related systems to identify areas for process improvement, and then work with the team to implement those identified process improvements
  • Assist with quality management and annual surveillance tracking
  • Work with companies to obtain necessary formula information for product reviews
  • Execute end-to-end administrative tasks providing exceptional customer service
  • Provide training and assistance for clients using the Green Seal client portal
  • Maintain accurate records in the Customer Relationship Management system and chemical database
  • Address and resolve administrative issues as they arise
  • Respond to general Green Seal email and phone inquiries and triage accordingly

Administrative Support for VP of Certification

  • Compile and update certification department status reports and assist in analyzing trends seen in these reports that could indicate areas for process improvement
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations
  • Draft and edit documents, letters, and reports
  • Manage calendars and schedule appointments
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including room bookings and logistics
  • Coordinate with and support multiple departments across Green Seal to ensure a smooth workflow across the organization
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor s degree required
  • 1-5 years' relevant experience supporting certification processes in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification industry including the following tasks:
  1. Supporting customer and data management systems
  2. Issuing certificates and client notifications
  3. Managing client inquiries and responses
  4. Overseeing monitoring and annual surveillance
  • 1-5 years experience with project and/or product management with ideally a credential or documented coursework/training, is preferred
  • Knowledge in sustainability, green chemistry, climate change and/or related subjects is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Zoho CRM, or similar
  • Demonstrated interest in the environmental/sustainability field
  • Familiarity with third-party certification programs is a plus
