Job Description
Seeking a System Administrator to support their government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. This full-time position entails 1880 hours of yearly support at the customer location. As a Windows Managed Development Environment Administrator, my responsibilities include implementing security patches, aiding user access to IT systems, and maintaining a Windows-managed development environment and virtual lab in compliance with security requirements. Additionally, the role involves providing system administration solutions, creating documentation, and collaborating with network, storage, and server personnel for problem-solving. Another position involves Training Center/Laboratory Support with hardware and software maintenance, user account management, and help desk functions. Additionally, there's a vacancy for a Cloud System Administrator to handle NiFi systems administration, troubleshooting, and user support, mainly focusing on Linux servers. Finally, there's a Senior Systems Administrator role, similar to the previous System Administrator positions, with an emphasis on providing advanced system administration solutions.

Requirements
Clearance: Top Secret SCI Full Scope Polygraph Clearance
Education: A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator (SA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Certifications: DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
Experience:
  • Computer Network Operations - Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in modern operating systems and network architectures.
  • Information Assurance - Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development and design, risk assessments, and IA metrics gathering.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups to complete tasks bounded by constraints.
  • Experience with Linux, including scripting (Shell, Perl, Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Experience with Splunk and NiFi functionality.
  • Ability to break down complex problem spaces, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems, including user accounts and workstations.
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and remain involved in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage LINUX, UNIX, and Windows operating systems install/load operating systems software, troubleshoot, and maintain integrity of configuration.
  • This is a full-time position and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.
  • Must meet DoD Directive 8570 IAM Level II requirements (Security + at a minimum).
  • Participate in analyzing new hardware/software needs and in Client requirements reviews and meetings about customer issues.
  • Experience with hardware architecture implementation and performance tuning of Linux systems, including tweaking kernel-level settings for TCP session optimization.
