We are currently seeking a Chief Engineer with experience in radar systems research and development for our growing business in Dayton, Ohio. This position is ONSITE.
HOW WILL THIS POSITION CONTRIBUTE?
Mission: Develop, integrate, and transition advanced multi-sensor combat identification capabilities into a fieldable system
How: Recruit and mentor new and existing employees to ensure we have the best-in-industry talent. Serve as subject matter expert on existing and emerging technologies for our customers.
WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED?
Matrix Research is an employee-owned, small business advancing the state of the art in radar systems, radio frequency, and sensor exploitation technologies. Two thirds of our staff hold advanced degrees in Engineering, Mathematics, or the Physical Sciences. Our programs span basic research through the demonstration, test and evaluation, and low-rate production of advanced sensing systems, subsystems, and components.

WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED?
- Required:
- M.S. in a STEM related field with a minimum of 25 years of experience in defense related research and development work.
- Strategic planning and business development experience in small R&D defense business environment.
- Applicant must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US DoD security clearance with special program access.
- Desired: Research experience in the multiple of the following areas:
- Electronic Warfare (EW) and/or Electronic Protection (EP)
- Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurements systems and techniques
- Broad experience with computational methods CEM and/or CFD
- Radome design and characterization
- Infrared (EO/IR) / Electro-Optics
- EM Materials design and/or characterization
- Antenna design and modelling
- Analog and/or Digital RF Hardware Development
- An active DoD Top Secret Clearance
