We are looking for an outgoing energetic person to help pave the way to our exciting new future. The Azure Cloud Engineer (ACE) will be a key member of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). Our ACEs will provide best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more. Through the cloud engineer s guidance, we will ensure our teams have an excellent experience in building, modernizing, migrating, and maintaining applications in our hybrid multi cloud environment. The cloud engineer also serves as a guide and subject matter expert elevating the overall cloud capabilities within Lumen.The Main ResponsibilitiesRefine, evangelize, and deliver on Lumen s multi-cloud operating model vision and strategyPartner in the delivery of cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectivesCollaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Product Architects to implement technical solutionsEvolve and drive our automation capabilities by enabling a DevOps and SRE cultureSupport the adoption of Cloud practices and drive the institutionalization of the practicesIdentify risk and mitigation plans associated with security, legal, data, compliance, and regulatory requirementsContribute to the development of internal best practices as well as new innovative capabilitiesHands on-Technical lead to guide, mentor, and coachWhat We Look For in a CandidateRequired:4+ years experience in combined roles of cloud engineer, infrastructure engineer, DevOps engineering, SRE or application development2+ years experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions in AzureExpertise with automating infrastructure provisioning and/or continuous integration/deliveryExperience with cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)Experience one or more languages, such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, C++, Terraform, or similarAbility to communicate to multiple audiences at an appropriate levelPublic Trust clearance is required for this positionDesired:Experience in supporting and troubleshooting large-scale applications deployed in a hybrid multi cloudExperience with on-premises to cloud migrations or IT transformationsAZ-104 Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, related technical field, or equivalent work experienceCompensationThe starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location.
