We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal with strong experience in complex civil litigation. This position will support our Family Law Practice. Ideal candidates will have experience in family law, and an interest in high-end family law is desired. The person in this role will partner with attorneys by assisting with client meetings, legal and factual research, drafting discovery, court filings, and the preparation of legal documents. Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of complex civil litigation, including international and high net worth private client and family law matters, including case preparation, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and others.
  • Assist lawyers with document preparation or revision.
  • Draft, review, file, and e-file legal court documents.
  • Draft and respond to discovery.
  • Manage and organize case files.
  • Schedule and calendar hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Help manage and organize attorney workloads.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Paralegal certificate is a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of civil litigation paralegal experience.
  • Experience or interest in high-end private client and family law matters preferred.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software.
  • Understanding of legal language and principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent document management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
