Position Description:CGI Federal is seeking a Pega Engineer with a strong aptitude towards Pega applications, Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC) Architecture, Pega Diagnostic Center (PDC).This position is located in our Baltimore, MD office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.Your future duties and responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level Pega applications Develop BPM applications, integrate web services, design data models and frameworks Understand business needs and design scalable applications to improve process management. Meet with business managers to discuss the BPM application needs. Perform solution architecture within the Pega PRPC environment. Design class structures, application frameworks, and data models. Integrate databases, legacy systems, web services, and third-party systems. Design and develop custom user interfaces using Pega UI components Troubleshoot and debug application issues and bottlenecks Monitor the performance and availability of Pega applications Conduct application functional and performance tests. Maintain the security of Pega applications.Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Pega System Administration or CSSA certification Pega Certified System/Senior System Architect Strong experience on all Pega products Experience with PDC and server monitoring and agents monitoring. Experience analyzing log files and reports from application sources. Hand on analysis, solution design, configuration and development activities using Pega.Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years developing, managing and supporting Pega applications 5+ years of experience with Pega upgrade and patching activities Strong knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and PRPC design and implementation Strong knowledge of Pega Application packaging, security, rulesets, portals, reports, and other Pega platform tools Stong Java background, including the ability to write Java code and debug Java issues Proven ability to use critical thinking skills in troubleshooting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills. Previous Government experienceCGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
