Performs routine set up, operation, minor and major routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of highly complex/automated manufacturing equipment.
Controls and adjusts machine settings.
Responsibilities include production, quality, downtime and waste levels of machine operation.
Perform mechanical, pneumatic and electrical maintenance (including preventive) repairs, adjustments, inspection and monitoring of production and facilities related equipment and machinery.
Uses judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot and problem solve in performance of all maintenance tasks.
Prioritizes daily work assignments to meet production needs and department goals.
Responsible for preventive maintenance scheduling, completion of work orders and tasks as assigned.
Supports installation and removal of equipment, and performance of required corrective maintenance.
Consistent presence in production departments.
Monitors the production lines and proactively evaluates equipment performance for repairs and continuous improvement.
Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude to complete changeover of equipment and some operator-level preventive maintenance.
Assist with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions.
Checks work using prescribed gauges, jig and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety and maintenance documents.
To be done in conjunction with Engineering, Quality and Production supervision.
Organizes, executes and directs improvement projects to increase equipment utilization.
Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with the machine performance and/or product quality.
Advises on proper content of PM task list and frequency of execution.
Assists with the installation, debug, and start-up of all new or modified production equipment.
Works with general supervision.
Works with external contractors and vendor as needed.
Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Must follow all housekeeping policies and procedures.
Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
Must be able to work overtime as required to meet business requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED & Certificate and 2 years of experience in relevant field.
High School Diploma or GED with 4 0 years relevant experience required.
