Job Description:

The Washington Commanders are looking for an eager-to-learn Digital Marketing Intern to join the team for the 2024 Season. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and technical knowledge in things such as email marketing, website management, copywriting, analytics, and more! The Digital Marketing Intern will play a vital role in supporting the development and execution of effective digital marketing campaigns to drive revenue, lead generation and engagement and to help the team meet key organizational KPIs. This role will truly be part of the team and will own projects from conception to execution, so being a self-starter is key. Be prepared to work hard, learn a lot, and have a blast through it all while working with one of the NFL's most dynamic marketing teams!

Responsibilities:
  • Learn and assist with all functions of digital marketing, including email marketing, website development, performance marketing, data analytics and more
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Ticketing, Sponsorship and Editorial to ensure strategic priorities are identified and incorporated into digital campaigns
  • Prepare comprehensive reports highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee creation and deployment of the weekly team e-newsletter, keeping in line with email marketing best practices
  • Assist with marketing activations on gamedays


Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be pursuing a degree or be up to 1-year post-grad.
  • Experience with Basic HTML, Copywriting, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) and Microsoft Excel a plus
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead, coordinate and deliver multiple projects at once within strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours/days (i.e. game days on Sundays/primetime or offsite events)
  • Ability to perform duties representing the Washington Commanders core values
