Payroll Specialist

Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support one of our defense clients. The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and labor compliance. Key responsibilities include processing labor corrections in Costpoint, reconciling labor each payroll cycle, overseeing multi-state payroll compliance and filings, conducting monthly audits of benefit deductions, processing quarterly disability benefits, and maintaining rigorous timesheet floor checks. Additionally, this role involves preparing affiliated General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations, serving as a backup for semi-monthly labor, leave, and payroll processing, and assisting with W-2 year-end functions and new hire employee orientations. The specialist will also perform other duties as assigned.

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.

* 2 years' of Costpoint experience.
* Minimum 2 years payroll experience in Government contracting environment.

* Detailed oriented with strong organizational and computer skills.

* Working knowledge of accounting concepts and ability to create journal entries and reconciliations.

* Experience with ADP.

Must work under general supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplished assigned tasks.
