Your Role: The Senior Conversational AI Engineer is responsible for development and delivery of software in support of business capabilities and the foundational needs of the overall solution. The role will provide technical expertise and mastery to deliver high-quality software and employs software engineering methods in the delivery of the same. The role will be responsible for achieving high degrees of automation using well established DevOps and Agile practices, working with Product Managers, business stakeholders and other technology practitioners (Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Technical Analysts, as well as Solution Architects). Your work: (Essential responsibilities) Be a lead technical resource on the Amelia Conversational team. Deliver durable, high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. Provide technical analysis, design, code, and automate in support of program and project deliverable. Participate in design sessions, implementation plans, and resolve technical issues as needed. Deliver clear, pragmatic solutions with applicability to meet immediate business needs. Assist team in achieving high degrees of automation using well established DevOps and Agile practices. Ensure that technical solutions are aligned with Enterprise Architecture and applications and systems are built for uninterrupted availability, meet performance requirements, future extensible, multiple system integrations, long-term growth, and low-maintenance support. Ensure that technical and quality standards are enforced throughout the software development life cycle. Work close functionally with other teams including Integrations, CRM, Policy Administration, Claim Administration, and Product to drive strategic business capabilities. Contribute to code reviews, ensuring appropriate unit test coverage is in place Required Experience, Education and Skills Strong understanding in Voice AI service technologies Strong understanding in Conversational NLP/NLU Design and Implementation Experience in CXOne/Amelia SmartAssist and Conversational Design preferred Expertise with multi-channel implementations such as voice, chat and sms Experience in consuming RESTful web services Experience with Splunk Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins is preferred Source Code management using DevOps tools such as Bitbucket and GIT is preferred Expertise with agile methodology and frameworks inclusive SAFe, utilizing tools such as Jira What would make us excited about you? Experience in Groovy and SQL. 3 years of experience in Grammar and Natural Language design, development, and testing. 3 years of experience in Speech tuning, continuous improvement, and grammar analysis. 3 years of experience with Splunk. Strong customer relationship, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding oral, written, presentation and listening communication skills. Effective decision-making skills, even under pressure and while lacking all the desired information detail. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Should be able to conduct peer reviews and advise recommendations or issues and work well with team. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in writing technical approach and design documentation. Perform independent code reviews and write unit/integration test cases to achieve 85% test coverage. Ability to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects which may be reported as a result of faults in the production system. Assist in writing technical approach and design documentation as required. Shows respect for differences through excellent communication skills with people from an array of backgrounds. CSAA Insurance Group is an equal opportunity employer. The national average salary range for this position is $129,780-$144,200. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full [salary range] [hourly rate range] for this position across all the states we hire in is $116,910-$173,200. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.
