Please note: This position is not limited to Washington, DC. It is available for remote candidates across the United States.
This position is responsible for architect, build, design, and support of complex cloud infrastructure solutions including, but not limited to, multiple AWS accounts and services, Mulesoft, security and monitoring capabilities, and DevOps release support. This position also manages the AWS vendor relationship and billing.
Essential Functions for this role include:
Architect, build, manage, and support a complex AWS SaaS/IaaS infrastructure including, but not limited to, multiple AWS accounts and services, Mulesoft, security and monitoring capabilities, and DevOps release support.
Manage AWS vendor relationship and billing.
Collaboratively innovate on and architect MissionSquare's multi-cloud infrastructure, services, and networking/communications.
Lead senior technology engineers and security specialists in the design and expansion of a cloud-right infrastructure supporting MissionSquare's next generation of applications which leverage automation, availability, scalability and performance utilizing Containers and Kubernetes on AWS, and enterprise-level connectivity like Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, IPSec tunnels, Cloud Exchange, Transit gateways.
Proactively identify innovations and process improvement opportunities by challenging conventional practices and adopting new methods to increase future state agility, flexibility, and security
Lead the analysis of new services, capabilities and vendors as well as with proof-of-concepts/prototypes for new technologies/solutions
Monitor and report on project activities, status, task, and issues/risks

If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:
Bachelor's Degree and/or ten or more years of experience
Systems administration experience managing enterprise Windows and Linux environments (preferably RHEL)
Experience in a 24 by 7 production operations role supporting critical, highly available environments
Strong understanding and experience with Networking components, concepts and troubleshooting techniques, including web traffic load balancing and AWS elastic load balancing, Transit gateways, VPC gateways. Uses logic and proven methods to solve difficult problems
Experience with authentication and single sign-on mechanisms
Experience patching systems and applications according to standard patch schedules, applying baselines controls
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, AWS RDS
Experience configuring system and application monitors tools
Ability to evaluate and prioritize projects from both a financial and operational perspective
Strong understanding of corporate strategies and goals as relates to technology initiatives and the ability to align the two.
Proven ability to interact with all levels within the organization as well as with vendors and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
Experience with DevOps tools like Terraform, Docker, Git, CodeCommit, Codebuild, Codepipeline and Agile methodologies
Knowledge and understanding of current programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Experience automating cloud infrastructure and services
Ability to prioritize among many competing projects/initiatives
Excellent verbal skills, written skills with the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and persuasively
