Position Description
This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of passionate technologists. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. As a solution builder, you will be working to support the client's mission and goals.

This position is located in our USA VA Fairfax USAVAFAI01 office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Software Development Manager will be responsible for leading teams of developers to
design, develop, and maintain START which is built on ServiceNow's products and platforms.
A strong knowledge base of the ServiceNow product and capabilities will be required.
A keen understanding of the market trends to keep up with new technologies and
advancements in ServiceNow's products.
Supports the PM and DPM in executing the project.
Conduct proofs of concept to evaluate the technical feasibility of new application capabilities.
Develop estimates, manage schedules and communication with partners for new features and releases.
Develop training plans and approaches to increase the software engineering capabilities of your team.
Develop and maintain coding best practices as part of an integrated agile team (analysts,
designers, developers, testers) to consistently build features and functionality that meet the
needs and priorities of the customer in a rapid and evolving environment.
Create code review standards for software engineers to identify defects (functional,
performance, security, etc.) and suggest solutions and improvements.
Direct team in development of unit tests for regression and refactoring
Periodically diagnose and resolve application issues reported from production (especially and particularly code newly released into production).
Serve as the development lead for agile sprint efforts managing applicability and functionality of requirements identified for implementation.

Educational and Related Experience
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a technical field such as
Information Systems, Information Sciences and Technology, Engineering, Computer Science,
etc., or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
Minimum of (5) years of progressive management experience
At least ten years of hands-on experience in work similar to that being supervised.
A deep understanding of ServiceNow's platform, modules, and architecture, ServiceNow
Developer instance, and applicable tools such as ServiceNow Studio, Visual Studio Code, and
ServiceNow PowerShell cmdlets.
An understanding of the SDLC and agile methodologies, including Agile sprint plans, code
reviews, and change management procedures that ensure products are delivered quickly, but
also meet high-quality standards.
Ability to lead and manage a team of developers, set priorities, manage risks, define scope,
manage timelines, communicate progress and issues.
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Angular JS, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Glide
API, server-side scripting, data imports, and data exports, REST API, and OData API.
Familiarity with tools like Bravium Best Practice Engine, WebStorm, Browsers debuggers, and/or Splunk.
Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
Expertise in setting up and configuring data integration between ServiceNow and other systems leveraging ServiceNow Integration Hub, Integration Broker, and REST APIs.
Familiarity with change management & security approval processes and security regulations such as NIST standard SP 800.
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or comparable/equivalent qualifications.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122,200.00 - $264,600.00.
