POSITION TITLE: Regional Security Analyst

SALARY: $75,000-$85,000

LOCATION: Remote; with up to 30% travel

DESCRIPTION: Client's Global Physical Security (GPS) operations team is the primary interface with all stakeholders and ensures their needs and expectations are met with high quality, industry standard programs and services. Client is now looking for a geopolitical risk intelligence professional to join our team. Client utilizes internal owned data center locations and third-party external data centers managed by co-location service providers. This position will collaborate with all physical security teams and to understand security intelligence and risk requirements and present key insights to stakeholders. This will be accomplished through the collection, analysis, and distribution of actionable products relating to security threats that have the potential to adversely affect client. Additionally, this position will provide specialized functional expertise focused on a designated global region in data center operational security, crisis management programs, and risk assessments. The qualified candidate will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Physical Security Threat Assessments who is based in the United States. This is a new position that will work within a global team. Periodic domestic and global travel will be required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide risk intelligence analysis and reporting for GPS strategic initiatives focused on data center security programs within a designated region. These duties include but are not limited to:
    • Create content and produce geopolitical and physical security risk intelligence reports and deliverables using a variety of internal and external sources.
    • Deliver both written and oral executive briefings tailored to key stakeholders.
    • Provide crisis management support through risk intelligence and analysis at corporate level.
    • Communicate intelligence and analysis of security threats effectively in various forms with individuals at all levels of the organization.
    • Able to synthesize and clearly communicate complex findings to focus on critical issues and actionable opportunities.
    • Work closely with key stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure threat intelligence analysis and products are mapped to prioritize company assets and risks.
    • Serve as a consultant in proactively developing insights and intelligence in service of the company's existing and future strategic direction.
    • This position will leverage consumer, market, competitive, and industry information to develop products that provide stakeholders insight and analysis of risk to formulate strategic direction.
    • Deliver briefings tailored to key stakeholders.
    • Rapidly communicate emerging incidents and crisis events.
  2. Provide risk analysis and assessments to ensure data centers locations and other critical facilities meet security standards and provide recommendations through vulnerability and gap analysis. These duties include but are not limited to:
    • Performs risk assessment to ensure physical security compliance with diverse auditory requirements including but not limited to SSAE 18, ISO, and PCI.
    • Work closely with key stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure risk intelligence analysis and products are mapped to prioritized company assets and risks within a region.
    • Performs additional functions as directed by the Sr. Manager, Physical Security Threat Assessments as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.


SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY, IMPACT OF DECISIONS, AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:

  • The Regional Security Analyst, Regional Physical Security Intelligence scope of responsibility will be global in nature; however, the roles will be focused on a designated region.
  • The decision impact is high, with a high degree of responsibility and operational impact on the business function.
  • The degree of direct supervision for this role is low with the qualified candidate maintaining the ability to work extremely well independently. The individual in the role will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Physical Security Threat Assessments who is based in the United States, and function under their supervision.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in roles within or relevant to global security intelligence analysis.
  • Mastery of the English language is required. Additional regional languages preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate and articulate with a high level of proficiency in both the written and verbal format at all levels up to and including Corporate Executive leadership.
  • Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate complex findings to focus on critical issues and actionable opportunities.
  • Has the ability to travel (domestically and internationally) upward to 30% of their time
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player with global exposure to working with individuals from different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.
  • Has the ability to build partnerships with internal strategic business partners and stakeholders.
  • Able to work in an ambiguous environment and operate independently.
  • Some experience of crisis management is preferred as it relates to physical security and intelligence analysis at corporate level.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with external governmental, law enforcement, academic, and private sector professionals supporting the OCI physical security mission.
  • BS/BA Degree in related field desirable, but not mandatory (MS/MA Degree preferred).
  • Industry certifications are preferred, but not required.
