AMWA thrives in creating a community of water sector leaders to advance policies to protect public health and economic viability via safe, affordable, and sustainable drinking water.AMWA is seeking a Director of Membership Programs to join the team. This role will oversee AMWA s recruitment, engagement, and retention of members. This role will oversee AMWA s recruitment, engagement, and retention of members. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The pay range for this position is in the range of $115,000-$125,000. Experience level and other factors will determine the final compensation level. The person in this position will have work-related travel several times per year.

Interested candidates should apply with a resume and cover letter sent to ...@amwa.netEssential Job Responsibilities:Membership RecruitmentWorks with outside consultant to develop recruiting goals, plans, tactics, and metrics. Oversees and assists in their execution.

Deploys CEO and members to help recruit new members.

Tracks effectiveness of campaigns.

Membership EngagementServes as the primary lead for member and subscriber questions, requests, and services.

Assures routine communications with members through quarterly meeting, calls, and emails.

Develops, launches, and supports communities of members to increase member engagement.

Works to maximize and diversify engagement in AMWA committees and communities.

Provides input into programming and speakers at AMWA knowledge-sharing events.

Membership RetentionWrites and executes membership retention plans and tactics.

Works with Director of Communications and Utility Management Programs to ensure that timely marketing collateral is reaching members.

Deploys CEO and other members to assure that all members are renewed.

Database and Website MaintenanceResponsible for the deployment and overseeing the maintenance and data quality of AMWA s Fonteva association management system (AMS).

Oversees the website architecture. Assures that the website is technically current.

Works with the Director of Communications and Utility Management Programs to ensure that website content is current.

Tracks and reports website usage and analytics to the rest of the AMWA team.

Develops Membership ManagerRecruits, manages, and develops the Membership Manager.

Establishes and develops goals and monitors performance.

Provides routine feedback and conducts performance reviews.

Promotes adherence to AMWA policies and procedures and advances an organizational culture of high quality and collaboration.

Develops Manager, Database, Website and Office OperationsRecruits, manages, and develops the Manager, Database, Website and Office Operations.

Establishes and develops goals and monitors performance.

Provides routine feedback and conducts performance reviews.

Promotes adherence to AMWA policies and procedures and advances an organizational culture of high quality and collaboration.

Manages Membership ConsultantEnsures consistent workflow to consultant by establishing and overseeing execution of goals.

Requirements:Education and Experience:Education:Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience:10 years of experience in membership development.

3 years of supervisory experience.

Other Requirements:Experience with InDesign, Adobe Creative, Canva, or similar programs a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Outstanding verbal and written communications and presentation skills.

Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills.

Strong program and project management skills and experience.

Strong organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, respond in a timely manner, and meet deadlines.

Skilled in employing both strategic and tactical processes.

Knowledge of membership recruitment, engagement, and retention.

Knowledge of event development and execution.

Able to lift and carry boxes and supplies of at least 20lbs

Work-related travel to attend local conferences or meetings several times per year (up to 15%)
