What we're looking for:

Nexamp is growing their Asset Management team and seeking to hire a Federal Regulatory Compliance Manager. You will be responsible for managing compliance in federal programs for all Nexamp solar and storage projects. You will develop, optimize, and maintain processes for compliance within the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), maintaining a flawless record of project commitments. You will work closely with the policy team to research and translate new and existing IRA guidance, assessing the operational impacts. As part of this role, you will coordinate communication between Nexamp and the EIA, DOE, and other federal regulatory bodies. You will ensure all federal regulatory reporting requirements are met.

We are accepting candidates from Boston & Washington, D.C, and we are supporting hybrid work out of those offices. You will report directly to the Director, Regulatory Programs.

What you'll do:
  • Optimize and manage processes for compliance tracking within the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) (domestic content, prevailing wage, apprenticeship, low income, energy communities)
  • Lead cross-team coordination on organizational approach to optional federal incentive programs, with a focus on the Low Income Communities Bonus Credit Program within the Inflation Reduction Act
  • Coordinate between our developers, Engineering, Procurement, & Construction (EPC), finance, and capital markets teams to achieve optimal outcomes for our projects within the IRA
  • Research, digest, and disseminate information about federal regulatory incentives and credits for solar and storage projects
  • Translate new guidance on the IRA in coordination with the Policy team, identifying any potential pitfalls
  • Maintain a flawless record of project commitments made under the IRA
  • Coordinate and submit applications for the Low Income Communities Bonus Credit Program within the IRA
  • Coordinate with the construction team to ensure that federal prevailing wage and labor requirements are met
  • Maintain in good standing all existing federal regulatory qualifications for our projects
  • Successfully submit all required reporting to U.S. Energy Information Administration

What you'll bring:
  • 4 years experience in a federal regulatory role, including 1-2 years in renewable energy or tax equity preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Familiarity with the Inflation Reduction Act preferred
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to track deadlines and meticulously organized
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
