Job Summary:
Quality Control Facilitator assures all products, either manufactured or purchased, leaving Penn Wood Products' facility is of the highest quality standards by inspecting the manufacturing process from beginning to when the product is shipped. Quality Control is also responsible for inspections of material received into the facility.

Quality Control Facilitator assures all products, either manufactured or purchased, leaving Penn Wood Products' facility is of the highest quality standards by inspecting the manufacturing process from beginning to when the product is shipped. Quality Control is also responsible for inspections of material received into the facility.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspects all manufactured and purchased products related to ripping, molding, finishing, labeling, packaging and inventory. Inspecting also includes auditing inventory floor to shipments.
- Measures dimensions of product to determine accuracy of milling or cutting.
- Grades specifications for rip stock and molding process, rip stock size and lengths and must be able to distinguish between species of lumber.
- Read drawings and use a digital caliper accurately.
- Inspects sanding specifications as applied to sanding process by species and product.
- Inspects finishing for blend of color sample supplied by customer to coating process of manufactured product.
- Applies specifications for product for proper finish, adhesion and gloss specifications designed to product.
- Inspects Job Traveler to ensure material and paperwork are correct.
- Inspects any returns and customer complaints.
- Generates Quality Control reports based on daily and/or weekly findings.
- Assists supervisors in training a new employee when supervisor feels it's necessary with grading specifications.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of all wood moldings produced, species of wood used and manufacturing process, grading and specifications of each product is essential.
- Mathematical skills, verbal and written communication experience with internal and external customers.
- High School Diploma or a GED is required.
- Previous quality control experience is advantageous but not necessary.
- Able to multitask
- Ability to compose correspondence, work independently, self-starter/motivated.
- Must have good attendance and safe work record
