Today, we're ready to add an Information Technology Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and supplying computers, peripherals, and accessories to end users for Veracity. Deploy and maintain network and peripheral office infrastructure. Manage technology life cycles, and provide fast, friendly, and helpful technical assistance. They will be expected to answer questions on basic technical issues while providing advice and assistance to solve them. They will also help improve support processes across the organization. This position requires someone local to the Richmond area that can be onsite as needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide IT assistance to team members on computers, software, and peripherals in a remote/on-site support environment.
Manage hardware and computer software updates on Windows and MacOS operating systems
Documenting processes and performing diagnostic evaluation
Continuous learning of new trends and willingness to experiment to improve reliability, response, and quality.
Prep, deploy and maintain computers, peripherals, and accessories for delivery to end users.
Manage requests and issues in the enterprise ticketing system
Performs basic networking maintenance functions such as user provisioning and access modification requests.
Maintain asset management mechanism through data entry, inventory management, for IT assets.
Required Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent education/work experience preferred
Demonstrated professional experience in supporting customers and processes.
1-2+ years of relevant experience in an IT support and/or customer service role.
1-2+ years of relevant experience with Windows and other operating systems and system diagnostics.
1-2+ years of relevant experience in managing technology assets and deployments.
Familiarity with any of these technologies is a plus: Addigy, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, LDAP, PowerShell, Bash, Kaseya, JIRA Service Desk.
Effective written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated success with customer service and satisfaction.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage time effectively.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Proficiency with managing IT trouble ticket solutions and resolving incidents in a multi-tier environment.
Ability to be onsite in our Glen Allen office as needed
