Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic breakfast cook who can deliver outstanding results in the kitchen. Your main responsibilities will be to prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists. You'll keep your workstation and equipment clean and follow all required safety protocols. Good organization skills, the ability to take directions well, and to read recipe instructions and labels in English, as well as handle a variety of kitchen equipment, sharp knives, and measuring tools are required. Some experience and an associate's degree are preferred but not required. If you are a positive self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, we want to meet you! Responsibilities

Observe all company-required food safety guidelines and protocols in the areas where food is prepared and kitchen equipment is utilized
Understand recipe instructions, measurements, meal charts, and labels written in English and use all measuring tools properly
Keep all prep and workstation areas organized and equipment hygienic and sanitized at closing
Perform other basic cooking duties as necessary, such as brewing coffee or tea, preparing soups, reducing sauces, and assisting other cooks in the kitchen if needed
Prepare recipes using the proper measurements needed for condiments and wash dice, and slice fruits and vegetables, and meats, for the variety of meals we prepare for customers

Qualifications

Should be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and also bend, pull, and lift 35-50 pounds
Understanding of how to read recipes, meal charts, measuring tools, and labels in English
Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays and be willing to pitch in working extra hours at the supervisor's request
You have the basic skills necessary to prep food for a chef/cook with minimal supervision expected
Experienced in the proper handling of kitchen equipment, sharp knives, and other kitchen tools
