12 Months Contract Position

Job Description:

Support the development and administration of APIs in the Microsoft Azure platform utilizing Azure API Management (APIM) solution. Create new APIs based on customer business requirements. Migrate and refactor existing APIs from the legacy solution to APIM. Architect innovative security solutions to solve existing and future challenges, demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and delivering high end security solutions using Azure API Management.
  • Hands on development experience on API Management platform(s) such as Azure APIM or Layer 7
  • Good understanding and exposure to overall API-Management concepts & fundamentals.
  • Experience in defining overall API architecture, API implementations, integration and deployment of API management platforms. Candidates will need to be able to perform hands-on technical development to implement policies.
  • Hands on experience with the REST and SOAP policies
  • Working experience using web services and APIs built on SOAP or REST and using XML & JSON.
  • Hands on experience Transformations from XLST, SOAP to REST, REST to SOAP
  • Strong knowledge of securing data channels using various mechanisms (basic authentication, OAuth 2.0, etc.)
  • Content Based Routing, publishing internal services to internet, HTTP header parsing and header customization, Cookie based session maintenance, Manipulation of http headers, Integration with memory cache
  • Mod Security - Optimal SQL execution on industry standard databases, Regex and condition-based http traffic processing, Publish Java and .NET based applications to internet.
  • Knowledge of API analytics (Splunk / Azure Dashboards / Event Hub) and monitoring using Azure Monitor
  • Understanding of DevOps practices for API Management
  • Experience with API build validation Postman and Basic troubleshooting and critical thinking Ability to research technical documentation and apply it to assigned deliverables
  • Experience with Azure Functions and Logic Apps for serverless integration
  • Development experience in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#
  • Solid understanding of Azure services and cloud computing concepts
  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design secure, scalable, and high-performing APIs
  • This team plays a vital role in enabling seamless data integration and external communication for our applications and services
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define API requirements
  • Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest API Management trends, tools, and technologies
Responsibilities:
  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications.
  • Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience; or a current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
