Senior Instructional Designer, Compliance Design Team

As a member of the Compliance Learning Design Team, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for partnering with Principal Learning Consultants and Compliance Governance partners to design learning primarily for the Enterprise Compliance Training Program (though not exclusively). An individual in this role will build self-paced eLearnings by working closely with Compliance and Policy advisors and SMEs in each area. You will collaborate with other Instructional Designers on the team and beyond to streamline processes, share best practices, and stay up to date on emerging learning trends.

Key responsibilities

+ Deliver high quality, memorable learning experiences for Capital One associates primarily focused on compliance and policy standards and requirements

+ Consult with Compliance Governance and other line of business partners and learning team members on training needs, solution design recommendations, and delivery expectations

+ Increase the effectiveness of learning solutions by identifying and recommending format/modalities that create an optimal learning experience and demonstrate an understanding of adult learning principles

+ Collaborate with team members on learning and development best practices as a means to ensure superior deliverables on all projects and initiatives

+ Assume personal responsibility for projects and follow-through to completion with minimal need for direct supervision

+ Engage with content owners to enable clarity of goal; conduct on-going reviews to ensure outcome is on track to meet strict compliance deadlines

+ Create a feeling of inclusion establishing a comfortable learning environment while delivering inclusive learning

+ Manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously

+ Have strong project management skills and strong verbal/written communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

+ At least 2 years of experience in Instructional Design

+ At least 2 years experience with the Articulate 360 suite of learning development products

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelors Degree in Education, Human Resources, or Instructional Design

+ At least 1 year of experience of Instructional Design for digital modalities (eLearning)

+ At least 1 year of experience in project management

+ Advanced Google Suite skills

+ Intermediate experience working with graphics tools including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or similar

+ Intermediate experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or similar)
