Growing Land Management company is growing and looking for an Active CPA with 2+ years of experience to join their team.

Ideal candidate will be coming out of public accounting or could be a tenured accountant with strong financial reporting. Willing to train in Fund accounting if you don't have experience!

This is a hybrid position, 3 days in office in Crofton, MD.

Job Details

Job Summary
The Fund Accountant is responsible for the preparation of financial reports for multiple Funds to track the company s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities. This position works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

The Fund Accountant ensures compliance with accounting standards, transparency in fund transactions, and timely and reliable reporting to investors and regulatory authorities. By providing critical financial insights and maintaining fund records, Fund Accountants contribute to informed decision-making, investor confidence, and overall success in managing investment portfolios.

Essential Functions
1. Assists with work related to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements including footnotes and ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Fund agreements and investor reporting requirements.
2. Prepare investor capital calls, distributions, wire disbursements and investor reporting
3. Assist audit process for multiple Funds.
4. Forecast asset performance using internal asset management models.
5. Prepare hold/sell analysis for company investments.
6. Prepare cash fund and investment position reconciliations.
7. Track fund level expenses, accruals, capital calls, distribution, management fees and incentive fees.
8. Assist in managing audits and tax reporting processing with internal and external accounting firms.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 2-3 years experience in Public Accounting, or similar field
