Position Overview
Far Ridgline Engagements LLC (a QinetiQ US Company) is seeking an experienced Data Engineer - IP-Based Operational Communications - to join our team supporting a US Department of Defense Client in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities
The data engineer will manage account creation and provisioning of cloud based machines in order to provide a variety of cloud-based communications. The successful applicant should be able to communicate clearly and have good time management skills. There will be activities requiring troubleshooting of connections and user accounts. They will be responsible for the upkeep and management of several telephone systems to include the provisioning of machines and telephones.
Required Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of VoIP networking systems and virtual PBX systems such as Open PBX or Astrid Server.
Experience with SIP and Mobile Voice Network infrastructure.
Experience troubleshooting Cloud Virtual Private Networks (VPCs) with internal and external IP routing.
Knowledge if updating automation and configuration scripts in Python, JSON, and Terraform.
Experience with troubleshooting Virtual Desktops and file servers for storage and connectivity issues.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related STEM degree program; or 4 years equivalent experience as a Cloud SysOps Engineer.
Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI poly, or ability to obtain poly prior to start date #qinetiqclearedjob.
Preferred Qualifications
Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI poly.
Working knowledge of internet security protocols.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
