Title: Sr. Data Engineer
Location: Mclean, VA/ Richmond, VA
Duration: 06 months assignment with the possibility of extension
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining data pipelines, BI reporting, and data warehousing.
Expertise in BI reporting tools such as Tableau and QuickSight, with a proven ability to create impactful visualizations.
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark for data manipulation and analysis.
Extensive experience working with AWS services for data storage, processing, and deployment.
Proficiency in designing and implementing databases, both relational and NoSQL.
Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
Familiarity with Agile engineering practices and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data-related issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Portfolio showcasing previous data engineering work, BI reporting projects, and contributions to cloud-based solutions is highly desirable.
