Job description
Red Key is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to provide technical expertise in developing and executing automated testing scripts within a customized SAFe Agile DevSecOps pipeline. This role offers the opportunity to engage in software development, script implementation, test result evaluation, and continuous integration within a Continuous Delivery Pipeline. Additionally, cross-training in systems engineering, software development, training, and security is highly desirable. Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in Agile software development initiatives, including standups, planning, and Increment planning, to support the innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing.
Collaborate with team members to assess StoryPoint complexity using best practices, ensuring proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria.
Work with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Software Developers to develop test approaches, emphasizing the automation of recurring/regression test cases using selected toolsets.
Develop test validation scripts using designated programming languages (e.g., Python).
Create automated test cases for custom applications using designated GUI/COTS products (e.g., Selenium, Katalon Studio).
Apply DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and maintain Configuration Management of test cases/scripts, continually improving them.
Develop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using task management systems (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
Generate test data and identify use/corner cases to meet User Story/Customer needs.
Support performance testing and evaluation activities using tools such as JMeter.
Perform job duties within commercial cloud development environments. Basic Qualifications:
Proficiency in testing both front-end changes and back-end application processes.
Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for task automation.
Skilled in test data and script development.
Knowledge of or experience with software performance testing practices.
Proficient in creating, authoring, executing, and documenting test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadence.
Experience working and testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS) and using DevOps tools.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to execute test cases that complement development efforts.
Experience working in a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with FS Polygraph.
MS degree with 15 or more years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with administration of MS Windows Server or Linux environments in lab or personal development settings.
Ability to review CI job outputs and track test failures back to code changes causing bugs.
Capability to review code check-ins and understand their impact on system functionality and potential application bugs.
Direct experience with AWS environments.
