Agile Delivery Manager
  • Contract Duration 6 months

Job Summary:
  • Our client is looking for an Agile Delivery Manager to join our team.
  • As an Agile Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and delivering complex solutions for healthcare applications by coordinating with appropriate teams, and facilitating day-to-day operations of Agile Release Train(s).
  • As part of this role, you will be required to have an understanding of SAFe Agile team positions and will be required to partner with agile team(s).
  • A great candidate for this role is flexible and willing to work in a Scaled Agile Framework environment.
  • This is a contract, remote position, and reports to the Sr Agile Delivery Manager/Technology Portfolio Delivery Director.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams in using SAFe Agile methodology and practices.
  • Planning deliverables and helping teams monitor performance.
  • Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Work in a cross-functional team to achieve development goals to ensure task completion on time and with high quality.
  • Continuously analyze existing processes and practices within teams, and suggest improvements to enhance team efficiency.
  • Facilitate Program Increment planning and execution with distributed agile teams.
  • Agile Delivery Manager manages ART cadence; supports scrum of scrums and ART sync meetings, and acts as scrum advisor for agile teams, ensuring agile ceremonies are performed properly.
  • Proactively manage program risks, issues, and impediments; develop and execute risk response plans, run point on escalations, and monitor issues to resolution.
  • Establish and track meaningful metrics when appropriate. Measure, monitor, and report progress periodically to inform the ART, business owners, and stakeholders. Support plan to implement future improvements.
  • Coordinate a continuous improvement program to enhance continuous delivery, DevOps, portfolio management, and other key agile practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Preferred / Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as the definition of done, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement)
  • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (XP, TDD, BDD, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Atlassian project tools (JIRA/Confluence) and Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Experience with cloud software development and other technologies preferred.
  • Ability to document and communicate commitments, decisions, status, risks, issues, impediments, and corrective action plans efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong team contributor, able to influence the outcome of projects without direct authority.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Required Experience:
  • Working in a SAFe Agile environment.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting projects, managing releases, and participating in large product development efforts.
  • 4+ years of experience coordinating with development teams.
  • 3+ years of experience working with modern cloud architecture and platforms.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.

Required Education:
  • Scaled Agile certification required.
  • SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe Program Consultant, or Project Management Institute (PMI) certifications preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience is required; business and technology disciplines preferred.
