EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for Network Engineer in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Germantown, MD office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support and maintenance of the UAT and Production environments.
• Monitor and maintain the current GCP Pods configuration in all markets for better Ordering flow.
• Ensure configuration changes in GCP Clusters verify PODs are scaled up/down, perform IP address whitelisting and monitoring SRE alerts as requested.
• Configure and maintain F5 LTM, ASM Load balancers such as configuring/monitoring virtual servers, proles, nodes, pool members, manage SSL certificates for continuous traffic flow within the environment.
• Support the production and test environments for domestic and international business system specific to system setup, operating system installs, configuration, deployment, testing, troubleshooting and verification.
• Sync/maintain production database tables and run Oracle DB queries for any patches/issues to get necessary output.
• Automate application installation, updates, server patching and restarts.

Basic Requirements:

• Master s degree in Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a closely related field plus 6 months experience in network engineering OR Bachelor s degree in Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a closely related field plus 5 years experience in network engineering.
• Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: Putty; Splunk; Wireshark; Infoblox DNS; Linux/Windows servers; Routing & switching; and Network security.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
