Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Long Term Care
Overview:
- Lead nursing operations in a Long Term Care facility.
- Ensure high standards of patient care, staff management, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of nursing staff.
- Collaborate with other department heads for interdisciplinary coordination.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage the nursing department budget.
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license State of Maryland.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- 2+ years of nursing experience, with 2 years in Long Term Care leadership/management.
- Strong understanding of Long Term Care regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage resources and adapt to changing priorities.
- Commitment to quality improvement and patient-centered care.
