Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor to join our fast-paced Gastroenterology Lab/Endoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology team. Schedule: Schedule is 4x10 hrs shifts Monday-Thursday.

RNs rotate between pre-op, intra-op and PACU. Regular work week is Monday-Friday, No weekends, No holidays. Call is taken on a rotating basis for after-hour emergencies, on weekends & on holidays. This position offers the opportunity to be cross trained for our Interventional Pulmonology services and the team functions as one unit taking care of GI and IP patients in both PreOp and PACU.

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front-line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit.

Job Requirements:

* One year of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in the OR or Intra-Op Procedural is required

* Endoscopy/IP or PACU experience is highly desired

* Leadership/supervisory experience is highly desired

* Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or ADN within one year of BSN completion

* RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia

* BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA

* Specialty certification (as required by unit) within one year from date of hire.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
