About the Company: Our client is a leading medical waste management company specializing in the safe and compliant handling, transport, and disposal of medical waste. Their transfer station is a critical hub for operations, ensuring that all waste is processed efficiently and securely.

Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee their medical waste transfer station. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations, including overseeing drivers, dispatchers, and the waste intake process. This role requires a dynamic leader with excellent organizational and communication skills who can ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical waste transfer station, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of drivers and dispatchers, ensuring proper training, performance management, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations related to medical waste management.
  • Optimize Efficiency: Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel 50% of the time to various locations to oversee operations and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the waste management or logistics industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical waste management.
  • Preferred: Possession of a Class 3 license or ability to pass the exam within one year of start of employment.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
