**Plumbing Dept Head**

**Eaton, OH - Full Time**

The Department Head position is responsible for providing accurate product knowledge, quality and excellent customer service to customers.

**Essential Functions:**

- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of Customer Service.

- Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers.

- Establishes work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards, procedures and strategic directives.

- Responsible for making sure department aisles and product are set up to company standards.

- Responsible for making sure all products in the department are stocked properly, minimal outs.

- Front and face dept aisles daily.

- Make sure aisle are clean and organized.

- Help out in other departments as necessary.

- Help customers at check-out as necessary. This may involve actually ringing out a customer at the cash register and/or helping a customer to their vehicle with the product.

**Supervisory Responsibility:** This position does not currently manage any direct employees.

**Work Environment:**

* Ability to process information/merchandise through system and POS Register system.

* Ability to communicate with associates and guests.

* Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.

* Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area and register area.

* Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store.

* Ability to climb ladders.

* Ability to move or transfer merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-20 pounds.

* Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:**

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary. Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends.

**Required Education and Experience:**

* High School Diploma or GED

* Knowledge of plumbing products

* 3 + years of plumbing experience

* Retail experience a plus
