Job Description:

Greets patients upon arrival. May assist patient with wheelchair needs to and from their transportation. Provides general non-medical information (such as driving directions and eateries in the area) to patients and guests. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: On the job training, customer services experience preferred

Job-related Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues; demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to make independent decisions. Able to communicate with staff and visitors of all levels.

Job Expectations and Responsibilities:

* Professionally greets employees, patients, visitors, and public entering the facility.

* Distribute masks to employees, patients, visitors, and public.

* Initiates automated processes for outpatients registering for services.

* Provides wheelchair assistance to patients when needed.

* Assists patients with the specimen drop-off workflow for laboratory.

* Maintains accurate and current signage and communications in all patient rooms and lobby.

* Advise management or police of any emergency or security incident for immediate resolution.

* Participates with projects created to improve the patient and family experience.

* Responds professionally to customer request and/or concerns and initiates event reports as appropriate.

* Other duties as assigned.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force

frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
