Job Description:

KeyPerformance Areas:

1. Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physicalexamination, and diagnostic studies.

2. Write prescriptions for: medication, blood products based uponlaboratory results, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeuticmeasures, and care post-discharge inaccordance with written practice protocols.

3. Based on findings, determine eligibility of patients for entry intoclinical trials.

4. Interpret and evaluates findings of studies / tests.

5. Relay appropriate information regarding patient care to the collaborating physician.

6. Administer therapeutic measures / obtains specimens as prescribed.

7. Dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians with summaries of treatment, response and plan.

8. Dictate or writes patient history, admissions, progress notes, anddischarge notes in a timely manner.

9. Assist in the management of family dynamics and coping mechanisms during acute and chronic phases ofpatients care.

10. Conduct or participate in daily multi-disciplinary rounds for assignedpatients to ensure patients arereceiving appropriate and quality care.

11. Provide on-call coverage and performs hospital rounds as needed.

12. Triage patients to determine urgency of physician evaluation.

13. Document and reports care in an accurate, timely manner using appropriate forms and records.

14. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and to remain flexible in thechanging health care environment.

15. Assist staff in times of crisis or emergency.

16. Meet with the public outside the institution and efficiently market and promote cancer treatment.

17. Determine work priorities, assign work and insure proper completion of work assignments.

18. Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations pertaining topatient privacy, patients rights, personnel law, safety, labor, and employmentlaw. Adheres to Company and departmental policies and procedures, including ITpolicies and procedures and Disaster RecoveryPlan.

19. Other duties as requested.

20. Keep work area and records in a neat and orderly manner.

21. Maintain all company equipment in a safe and working manner.

22. Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient and employeeinformation at all times asrequired by the HIPAA regulations.

23. Assist in training new employees to related job duties.

24. Will be expected to work at any Company location to help meet theCompanys business needs asdirected by collaborating physician.

25. Will be expected to work overtime when given sufficient notice of required overtime.

Position Qualifications/Requirements

1. Education:
Graduate from an accredited NursePractitioner or Physicians Assistant program
Mastersdegree required

2. Certifications/Licenses:
APRNor PA license in appropriate state
Prescriptiveprivileges or eligible to apply
Currentcertification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P)
CurrentBLS

3. PreviousExperience:
Minimum 5 yearsexperience as APRN or PA, specifically in Oncology

4. Core Capabilities:

Interpersonal Effectiveness: Developed interpersonalskills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management,delegation skills, and diversity awareness. Ability to work effectively withsensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
Communication Skills: Good command ofthe English language. Second language is an asset but not required. Effectivecommunication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, andeffectively provides balanced feedback.
Customer Service & Organizational Awareness:Strong customer focus. Ability to build an engaging culture of quality,performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices,strong business and political acumen, collaboration and partnerships, as wellas a positive employee, physician and community relations.
Self-Management: Effectively managesown time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development.Self-motivated and self-starter with ability work independently with limitedsupervision. Ability to work remotely effectively as required.
Mustbe able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment withdemonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a varietyof stakeholders and sites.
Computer Skills:

- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
