Systems Administrator

Job description

NCQA is hiring a Systems Administrator. This position is responsible for IT systems and support, assisting IT Operations projects, system onboarding, integration, upgrades and deployments. Also responsible for support and maintenance of network infrastructure, including associated on-premises hardware and systems. This position will be in our Washington, DC office with the option for some telework.

Responsibilities:

Systems Administration

  • Work in the service desk to resolve tier 2 technical requests.
  • Deploy automation to improve workflows.
  • Participate and lead IT Operations projects, system upgrades and deployments.
  • Onboard new approved software and integrate with current systems.
  • Work and resolve hardware issues at HQ - network printers and Conference room system usage and issues.
  • Be an escalation point to the helpdesk issues and help with deploying laptops and onboarding when needed.
  • Manage inventory and proper disposal of equipment.Work with vendors on hardware maintenance.
Network and Security
  • Monitor on premise network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high performance, availability and reliability.
  • Maintain network equipment including data center hardware and software and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Respond promptly to network emergencies and outages during and after hours when needed.
  • Work with Senior Systems Architect on data center upgrades after business hours on projects impacting uptime.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or relevant work experience and related certification.
  • 2+ years of System Administration experience.
  • System administration experience with high proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell (python or bash).
  • In depth experience with administration and configuration of M365, Entra, autopilot and Intune.
  • Ability to independently work, learn new skills and adapt quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication and organizational skills.
  • High level of customer service required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCNA/CCNP certification and/or Azure admin certification strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of helpdesk support experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • For new hires, this position pays in the range of $90K - $110K per year, depending on experience.
  • This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus, payable in accordance with policy.
