Qualifications:
US citizenship required.
Bachelors degree in a related IT or Engineering field with at least 8 years of experience managing cyber risk for large scale, complex, enterprise IT programs.
With 20+ years, no degree is needed, as long as 5 of those years were in a Government IT portfolio setting.
Expertise in running cyber IT functions in both classified and unclassified programs.
Advanced information assurance and cybersecurity certifications.

Major Responsibilities:
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer manages the overall cyber posture of the IT products, as well as the Department of Defense Accreditations maintained by the program office for these products. They serve as the program's official ISSO (information system security officer). They serve as the principal advisor, facilitator, and coordinator, to all other key personnel (government and contractor) on cyber security related topics, across all areas of IT products. They ensure the operational systems maintain and update their DoD IT accreditations properly as new requirements are taken in by the program, new services are operationalized, and new vulnerabilities are observed. The senior IA Lead will have high subject matter expertise in the DoD Risk Management Framework (ex: STIGS, controls, policies, systems of record, ATOs, etc...), and how it applies to Commercial Cloud platforms used in the Department of Defense, as well as how it applies to software modernization through DevSecOps automation.
