Job description

Title:Payload Antenna / Electronics EngineerTS/SCI with CI PolySummary: Member will be an integral participant in spacecraft payload Antenna and Electronics requirements development, design analysis, test, and verification. Key areas of focus include antenna design trades, performance predictions and/or evaluations, system impact evaluations, hardware assembly & test, and antenna subsystem integration. Experienced in assessing the feasibility of new antennas & feed electronics designs, antenna & feed electronics manufacturing, and knowledgeable of launch & flight operations of space vehicles. Reviews and coordinates on changes to specifications, ICDs, and system level requirements documentation for spacecraft. Tracks development issues and attends unit, subsystem, system level design reviews. Supports launch and spacecraft on-orbit test as required. Identifies and assesses emerging risks and develop & evaluate proposed burn-down plans. Reviews developer s readiness to proceed into spacecraft test at various levels of assembly.Job Duties include:Provides expert advice and coordination concerning antenna and associated electronics developmentAssess feasibility of new antennas and antenna functionality elementsReview antenna manufacturing specifications for accuracy and ensure documentation is complete and accurateDevelop antenna models for performance evaluations and predictionsReviews and coordinates changes to specifications, ICDs, and system level requirements documentation for spacecraftTracks development issues and attends unit, subsystem, system level design reviewsIdentifies and assesses emerging risks and develops & evaluates proposed burn-down plansReviews developer s readiness to proceed into spacecraft test at various levels of assemblyExcellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor teamExperience in DoD IC acquisition and program management processesExcellent oral and written communication skillsPosition Qualifications9+ years of experienceBachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering requiredExperience with payload digital hardware development and testStrong attention to detailExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with personnel from multiple functions and at all levels of the customer organization to deliver results; strong networking, interpersonal, customer service skills, team building and problem-solving skills with an ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environmentExcellent Organizational skills, ability to plan, track and maintain due dates for multiple taskers and products central to customer acquisition processesKBR is an equal opportunity employer.
