Position DescriptionLooking for a military analyst role where you can move from theory to practice at a global company where you can learn and grown each day? As a part of the dynamic Team Submarine project, located in Washington, D.C., you will be expected to bring your curiosity, drive, and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our Sailors.Serco supports the US Navy for their Team Submarine contract supporting the maintenance, sustainment, and disposal of in-service submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.Serco is seeking a motivated individual to support Team Submarines in engineering and program management as a Entry-Level Engineer.In this role, you will:Provide support to the Submarine Safety and Quality Assurance Division at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA 07Q).Manage communications, process administrative changes to the Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) and Fly-By-Wire Ship Control Systems (FBW-SCS)requirements manuals.Facilitate working groups, draft meeting minutes, track action items, process recommendations and liaison action requests, initiate manual change requests.Conduct technical reviews of systems and procedures, make recommendations in updating requirements manuals to meet fleet needs.Provide administrative support for audits and inspections against manual requirements.Work under general supervision -- typically report to a supervisor or manager.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:A current or active Secret security clearance to onboard the position; or the ability to qualify for clearance sponsorship.A Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline.Up to two year s work experience within DoD, and/or the Armed Services.Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills are essential; more specifically Excel and PowerPoint.The engineering and technical ability to apply analytical skills in interpreting and responding to fleet requests.Strong communication skills both written and oral.The ability to work both in a team environment and independently, and often under short, multiple deadlines.Work experience in the Navy, specifically within Team Submarine--or submarines in general--is preferred.If you are ready to take the next step of your career path, apply today!Company OverviewSerco Inc.
