Hours: Saturday-Monday 9:30am-10:00pm
Shift: 3 12 hour shifts
Location: Inova Fairfax Medical Center
Responsibilities
- Obtains clinical history/informed consent from patients or patients' charts to assist the physician in optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination, as evidenced by the exam results.
- Coordinates new team member and student department orientation/training. Assists with patient and team member scheduling to enhance the productivity of the department
- Maintains an orderly, safe, and clean environment to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Ensures rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies for procedures.
- Operates imaging and other related equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
- Troubleshoots equipment effectively and reports equipment to Biomedical Engineering/Vendor, as evidenced by service reports.
Requirements
- Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start; Must be certified by at least one of the following: ARRT, RDMS, RVT, ARMRIT, CAMRT or NMTCB;as applicable with additional certification in an applicable imaging modality required Upon Start
- Licensure - Upon start, must be licensed as required by the state of employment if employed at an Inova Health System freestanding Imaging Center not affiliated with one of the Inova hospitals.
- Experience - Three years of Imaging experience in an applicable modality, Cat Scan or Mammography or MRI or Interventional Radiology or Nuclear Medicine in a hospital/healthcare environment, Recent hospital experience.
- Education - Graduate of an accredited school/program of radiography, Nuclear Medicine or MRI certification from ARMRIT or CAMRT, Graduate of an accredited school of radiography or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
